Our Store Manager, Chris McLay and Holistic Nutrition Enthusiast, Jami Hamilton will be Co-Hosting this Nutrition Seminar combining their individual passions of pet and human health and well being, through food. They will be joined by two amazing pet food companies to educate, inspire, raise some money for an amazing organization, and likely make you laugh your busts off as their rapport is amazing! Canine Good Citizen: Saturdays 9am-10am
Starts: April 13   (April 20 No class; holiday)
Ends:  May 25

$120 for 6 – 1hr weekly classes & CGC test
9:00am-10:00am

Age: Any, dogs under two years should re-test again after they turn two

Temperament: steady and calm, however if these word don’t currently fit your dog you may take the class to train it to be steady and calm!

What is taught: Your dog is taught the skills to pass the American Kennel Club’s Canine Good Citizen ten point test as out lined here:

Following the most adorable workout ever, will be a guided, discounted, shopping spree and give-a ways by our sponsor of the evening- Nulo Free Style Pet Foods.

6 one hour sessions. Thru positive reinforcement, learn loose lead walking, sit, stay, come, dog to dog greeting, dog to human greeting, and how to properly socialize your dog with other dogs and humans, and much more.

Temperament:

Why should you attend:
You can teach your dog to be a lovely, civilized animal. This class also teaches you and your dog how to communicate so you can teach him any behavior of which your dog is physically capable.

What is taught:
Learn the fundamentals of teaching your dog obedience for sporting activities. Your dog will try basic agility practices such as weave polls, tunnel, teeter tauter, targeting, and much more.

Why should you attend:
Your dog will try basic agility practices such as weave polls, tunnel, teeter tauter, targeting, and much more.
This class is a great class for active dogs.  It teaches your dog balance and foot awareness.  This is a very basic class that can prepare you to take an Agility class at one of the many Agility facilities in San Diego.  This class will also increase your dog’s ability to pay attention to you around other dogs in action

South Bark Dog Wash presents  the Second Annual Cuts for Mutts charity event on Saturday, October 19th, 5:00-9:00 pm. The talented barbers from Thee Inglorious Blacktree Barberia of South Park are donating proceeds from the evenings human hair cuts to the San Diego rescue Passion for Pitties.

This year the  event will be held at Blacktree Barberia, 2227 Fern Street. San Diego, 92104. (Only a few blocks away from South Bark Dog Wash)

This South Park mashup will have a raffle, snacks, beverages donated by Mission Brewery, and human haircuts. Live Music and DJ’s by Blick ‘N Bright & DJ Showshine.

Cost $35.00 (includes haircut)

Sunday Puppy Training Class

We’ll work on “house manners” to get you and your new family member started out right. Topics include: Greeting others, grooming, biting puppies, crate training and house training. This class is open entry/open exit. We conduct class this way so your puppy meets new puppies every session. To participate, your puppy must have at least its second series of shots.

Class meets: Sunday, 9am – 10am

Cost: 4 consecutive Sundays – 1 hour sessions: only $85: April 11, 18, 25,  & May 2

Due to the Covid 19 pandemic, South Bark offers only 2 training class options. Depending on the sizes of the dogs, classes are limited to 5-7 dogs. 2 people from the same household can attend the training classes. All participants must wear a mask. We are so happy that we have the ability to offer these 2 classes.
